Is Venice, Italy a safe place to travel for a single American female? I'm interested in going to Venice for a week-long vacation in September or October. I am not fluent in Italian, and am very interested to relax and spend some time in museums and to admire local architecture. Are there certain areas that I should stay away from? Single mother scholarships/grants? I'm a NON Profit entrepreneur? I am 20 years old with a 5 month old daughter. I am a Puerto Rican / Italian single mother and i reside with my parents. I am looking for financial aid and grants (no loans) to get me through school. I want to study Psychological Pharmacology. I am 2 years in at the local college and i have been going full time not only to complete school quickly but to keep my and my daughters medical insurance. My parents have been paying for my tuition because i cannot seem to find any help. Based on their combined income, i do not apply for most help, but they do not consider the expenses! I also train problem horses for no cost for people like me in bad financial situations. I also help sell horses for people who cannot afford them any longer. The only money i take is what ever gas i put in my tank to get there which is at MOST $20. I was wondering where i should go from here! I'm a good person, clean record, never been in a bit of trouble, and i would really like to further my education! NON PROFIT< I make no income! I have to be a dependent of my parents because my daughter and i receive medical insurance through him as long as i'm in school full time.
Italian people- do you have an uncle Tony? My friend says that there is not a single Italian person that doesn't have an uncle Tony. I think that's a little general, but I know 10 Italian people and they all have an uncle Tony. Now my curiosity is up.

Anyone out there willing to meet for a coffee in the Little Rock area? I am a stranger in this city and although I work here, I hardly know anybody. I am a single, gentle Italian guy of 37, fresh from Europe, who would welcome good friends in Little Rock, of similar age - or near to it! Note to Kristren:: Define "better" .. that attitude is a loser from the begining, and the pathway to spite, bitterness, and an inner dissatisfaction all the days of your life, until you start seeing human beings as the individuals they are, instead of the bodies they wear, or the "tags" of the places they comee from!
What are the differences between Italian pizza, Korean pizza, Taiwanese pizza and American pizza? I want to know more on this topic. All information are welcome. So far, I know the following. Italian pizza does not use cheese. It has only a single topping of meat. Italian love their pizzas. They consider multiple toppings of meat mix the tastes and is awful. Korean pizza adds Kimchee. They love their pizza more than the American version. Taiwanese pizza adds seafood. Of cause they love their version. American pizza has to have cheese and often has multiple toppings of meat. American can not stand the Italian version. They consider the Italian pizza too bland. By the way, do you consider the American pizza a fusion between Italian and American?

Why do Italian Catholic Parents not approve of Single Mom? A few months ago I reconnected with a high school classmate and we have been attached at the hip ever since we talked the first night. I am a single mom with a beautiful 2 yo daughter who is my life. Her father left me when I was 4 months pregnant and I have been doing it all on my own ever since. This is my first relationship since my ex left and I feel such a deep connection with my boyfriend that I don't want to lose him. He comes from an Italian Catholic family and he is very close to his parents. Since it was still early in the relationship, he hadn't told his parents about me and my daughter. This past Sunday, his older brother announced it at their dinner table. Ever since then, his parents have given him the cold shoulder and refuse to talk to him. Now he feels that he needs to choose between his family and me. I don't want him to have to choose but I don't want to lose this amazing man. I really don't understand why people would judge me for my situation instead of meeting me first. I know that Catholics are very religious (I was married to an Irish Catholic man whose parents are very devout) but can they be so ignorant that they can't accept real life situations? So then do I just walk away and lose someone important to me or do I try and get him to talk to his parents and work on this like mature adults? I am divorced from the Irish Catholic man and have been for 7 years because he came out that he was gay. The man who is the father of my child was my ex boyfriend that I lived with for 2 years before he upped and left.

How come there are no FPS (first person shooters) from Axis perspective? It would be nice to be able to play as German, Japanese, or Italian forces in a single player campaign for a change. Why do you think they don't have any? Lack of interest in the market? Or lack of cajones on the part of game developers? Personally I think it's lack of cajones. But what do you all think?

can i use my single-entry schengen visa to visit other schengen states other than italy? I just got my Schengen visa from the Italian embassy in Bedford, UK. It says that the number of entries is 1 and the duration of stay is 3. My friend told me that I can use it to visit the pther Schengen states. Is this true? Or should I have applied for a multiple entry visa? It also says that it's valid from the 10th of September until the 27th of September.

Adoption for a single woman? Hi, i'm an italian woman, i'm single and I am thinking of adopting a child but in Italy it is no possible. I want to Know what is necessary in England to adopt a child. Thanks
Italians are about as "Mixed-Race" as Germans, according to genetic studies? "Combined data from two large mtDNA studies provides an estimate of non-Caucasoid maternal ancestry in Italians. The first study sampled 411 Italians from all over the country and found five South Asian M and East Asian D sequences (1.2%) and eight sub-Saharan African L sequences (1.9%). The second study sampled 465 Sicilians and detected ten M sequences (2.2%) and three L sequences (0.65%). This makes a total of 3% non-white maternal admixture (1.3% Asian and 1.7% African), which is very low and typical for European populations, since Pliss et al. 2005, e.g., observed 1.8% Asian admixture in Poles and 1.2% African admixture in Germans." "Similar data from the Y-chromosome reveals Italians' even lower non-Caucasoid paternal admixture. Both studies obtained samples from all over the mainland and islands. No Asian DNA was detected anywhere, but a single sub-Saharan African E(xE3b) sequence was found in the first study's sample of 416 (0.2%), and six were observed in the second study's sample of 746 (0.8%). The total is therefore a minuscule 0.6%, which decreases to 0.4% if only Southern Italians are considered and 0% if only Sicilians are considered. Again, these are normal levels of admixture for European populations (e.g. Austrians were found to have 0.8% E(xE3b) by Brion et al. 2004)." "Two subclades of North African Y-chromosome haplogroup E3b (labeled E-M81 and E-M78β) have been given an estimated age of ~5000 years, making them useful in detecting historical admixture from Berbers. These markers exist at combined frequencies of 1.5% in Northern Italians, 2.2% in Central Italians, 0% in Southern Italians, 1.4% in Sardinians and 1.4% in Sicilians. Additionally, North African mtDNA haplogroup U6 occurs at a rate of 0.6% in Sicilians and is absent everywhere else in Italy (Plaza et al. 2003). This suggests that gene flow from Carthaginian and Moorish colonists was minimal." So yes, Italians do have non-white ancestry, a VERY tiny amount! So if Italians aren't White, neither are Germans? Superior IQ - Read the study. And only Sicily was conquered by the Moors. AND SHOW ME YOUR PROOF THAT NUBIANS CONQUERED SOUTHERN EUROPE! Da Black X - Here: http://racialreality.110mb.com/italians.html "In other words, the southern Italians are a blend for the most part of Alpines and small Mediterraneans, while among the northern Italians the most important dolichocephalic strain is the Atlanto-Mediterranean. The association of relatively great blondism with brachycephaly merely indicates that both Alpines and Dinarics are characteristically mixed or intermediate in pigmentation. The few unaltered Nordics still found in northern Italy and in aristocratic families elsewhere are far outnumbered by Atlanto-Mediterraneans. ... The binding element which is common to all sections is the Alpine, which has reemerged from obscure beginnings through a superstructure composed of Dinaric, Nordic, and various kinds of Mediterranean accretions." Superior IQ - You can't argue with facts. Southern Italians are mainly a mix of Alpines and Small Meditereneans while Northern Italians are mainly atlanto-mediterenean. The non-white ancestry in them hardly ever exceeds 3-5%, it's irrelevant and you need to get over it. No blacks have been powerful enough to "rape out" a white civilization. Karel - Italians with dark skin and nappy hair are non-existant. Where did you see a nappy haired and dark skinned Italian?
Italians are divers....? Anyone who thinks this knows absolutly nothing about soccer/football. Every single damn team does it. Just because the italians do it the best n rarely get caught, don't be pissed!! Had france won the cup, im sure no one would of been talking about the dive the player took in the box to win them the penalty kick. Bunch of haters.. well hey, you know what the say... if you can't beat em, join em!

Why is it that every single race or ethnicity seems to dislike black people? Why is it that every single race or ethnicity seems to dislike black people. The Jewish, Turks, Indians, Russians, Arabic’s, Italians, Mexicans, Brazilians, Hispanics, and even Asians. I've traveled to many different countries and it seems they all have the same feelings toward black people. That they’re violent, uneducated, can't speak correctly, no family values, they have tons of children they can’t afford, and the worst thing is that they will kill each other over shoes or because someone looked at them in a wrong way. I love watching the TV show, "The First 48". It’s a reality show about murders. The show is based on if the police detectives do not catch the person that committed the murder in the first 48 hours, the likelihood of doing so drops in half. A camera crew follows detectives from the second the murder gets reported to the end where they catch the person. On the show 95% of the people doing the murders are black. I don’t know what’s worse. That there are so many black’s murdering people or they actually made a reality show and they profit from it. I mean think about it. It's so bad they actually made a TV show about it. If the show airs once a week and there are two murders per show and only in two different cities in the country that’s a lot of murders. And what about the rest of the country? WOW! But WHY? The people of the world would like an intelligent answer. So, to the pissed off people reading this, go ahead type your rude answers proving the worlds point. But to the rest of the people please give an honest opinion because the people of the world finally want to know. If all you want is to know too then respond by typing, “I’d like to know too.”
How can ppl be so prejudiced? I think the french and the italian fans here are being prejudiced toward gay ppl. I myself am straight but i feel that its really rude of ppl to compare everything that they hate/disgusted with to gay ppl...for eg. There's Dr. zizou:Italians are gay....whose nickname itself suggests the point that im trying to bring out here(not that italins are gay but that ppl are bein prejudiced towards gay ppl. Then there is that Azzuri man...who hates france so he posts a question saying 'why do the french have a gay accent?' Well, arent gay ppl a part of the society of every single country. So, why are they being discriminated agnst here? Maybe what u all need is a good lesson in tolerance. Who here wants to pledge that from the moment they answer this question, they will stop insulting gay ppl? dude....yes i forgot to mention dude....another bigot who insults gay ppl!!! SHAME ON YOU!! naty: thanx..same to u!! Anyway im sorta ok with Touzours, Juventina and RO35 kidding arnd but they never really insulted a particular section of ppl(gay). But there 'followers'(like hidden contact said) are simply insulting each other and more importantly insulting gay ppl.The ppl who insult gay ppl are bigots and they are the ones who dont have a place in the soceity...we have to inform a gay rights activist soon....naty..dude is another example of what i've mentioned...see his answer i take my words back touzours too have been insulting gay ppl: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApozqR7a51_1Cnhy70fjJoXsy6IX?qid=20061019052434AAiVaB5 How abt that??? This is getting worse minute by minute....*sigh* @Chris:#1Portugal Fan Whatever do u mean by its a bad cause? If u mean that being gay is a bad cause...then i think i will include u in the prejudiced list too...Being a homosexual is a mattr of choice...its like ppl choosing to be vegan or non-vegan...why dont ppl see that? I am straight but imagine urself in their position and everyone calling u names? how would u feel? Im sorry if i hurt ur feelings..i just feel hurt by the ignorance of our community i feel helpless...wish i could stop this
Who do the French consider their best player ? There has been a lot of accusation of Italian/French bias etc in this forum lately so I want to throw an unbiased opinion into the mix for discussion. During the UEFA Jubilee Awards each UEFA country's football association picked "one of its own players as the single most outstanding player of the past 50 years (1954-2003)" The Italians picked Dino Zoff (my favourite). Who did the French pick ?? And do you agree with them ? No peeking/no googling and no wikipedia checks !!!!!!!
What is it about Italians? Hear me out......... I am falling for an Italian man. I'm a Puerto Rican. We've been going out for 3 months. We are great together! He's 36, never been married and NO kids. I'm divorced w/2 kids. Sooo, I feel like I've won the jackpot. I can't ask for a better person. Here's the deal, when I tell someone about him, I get the "eye roll" or "oh watch him", "hot tempered" "possessive, etc." or "hmmm somethere's wrong if he's not married" or "still single"??? hint. hint.... I try to ignore these stereotypical remarks. God knows, there are plenty of P.R. stigmas out there so I just smile but inside I'm itching to say something. what do you think????
Do any of you have an issue with italians? just wondering because every single person seems like they make fun of me from wher i come from, how i look and other things. is it just me or are just some people a-holes? i come from south italy from the Calabria region no i do have an aditude sometimes and over the summer i'm going slim and getting that six pack i say i need to lose a good 30 pounds or so
Why can't you all give it a rest? Both Italians and French supporters.? God this is the only site I've found a war on this. I'm creating a football forum at the moment and it's for all teams. For all supporters to chat about their favorite nations and players HAPPILY ever after. Why can't people on this site talk about how La roulette de Zidane and le Flip-flap de Ronaldhino are so useful and how they practiced it 50000 times this summer and desperately want to make it to their country's team? Why? Explain, please! Wy does everyone have this obsession over the World Cup and who won and who lost? For heaven's sake, France got 2nd place, it's snd in the worl. Out of 192 countries you got 2nd! I mean I have to suffer my country not even being in the World Cup... Ever. Because I was not born the only time they were. And that time, they didn't even score a single goal. Why can't you dicuss the Euro which is comming up and talk about the players in the French team and how they are going to work as a team. Honestly, have you been going on about this for a month... Because I've been on here for two days and I can't believe my eyes on how far you're all ready to go with this. There, I think I made my point. Buddy, I'm a clever and good GIRL! I'm also a French supporter, but I don't need this war either! If you're suggesting that I'm from Quebec, I'd like to specify that I'm not! I'm from Manitoba, and yes we do speak French over there. Well some do anyways, including me. I learnt English at eight, but I came from Manitoba!
You Idiot may say anything bad to Zidane, but no single thing can take his greatness down!!? Think about this: He is Frenchman. No doubt, he is the richest among the rich footballer (his transfer fee alone, was $69million), surrounded by people who admires him, he got lovely kids of four and his wife is beautiful model also dancer from spain, he is very handsome (most girls are crazy about his eyes), he got wonderful palace in Marseille, three times awarded as the world best player and one for The European Best Player. And the most recent was awarded The Golden Ball as The Most Outstanding Performance. Yes, he is the best! About what he did in the last match, it was damn rite! becoz he was insulted by that ANIMAL named Materazzi!!!! That "animal" was honoured to be headbutted by Zizou!! And one more, another "animal" who was half-naked and dived in front of public, he must be an exhibitionist! *LOL Come on Italians! You guys are jealous.. you'll never make a wonderful life like Zidane's ! Just Keep yourself RACIST & FACHIST.... Well, I'm OK!
Why Indians/italians/french/spanish/chinese/brasilian ppl don't tip? I am sick of hearing ppl say that I'am stereotyping by saying things like these. Every time I serve these ppl they always demand the world and leave no tips. Not even 10%, nothing. I know my service is good because americans tip me alot. And also I have being doing this for a while and speak 4 languages to help those tourists that can't speak a friking word in english. So just for my effort of understending your mumbling and customize every single order for you I deserve compensation. And don't come and tell me that they don't know that they have to tip in this country cause they do know, it says so in every guide booklet you find in town. So, they know and yet they decide to be so rude to not tip. How can these ppl demand respect from me if they are the first to not respect our way of doing things. This is not an actual question but just something i am bichin about cause i am pissed off today. So if you are one of the above mentioned ppl remember to tip you waiter next time you sit down in a restaurant...or i ll pray for a car hitting you as you walk out of the place. For the rest of you ppl. Merry Christmas!!! P.s. i am italian and I've never tipped less than 20% Grace, are you aware that IRS demands taxes from a 15% gratuity that they assume costumers will give me? So basically I pay taxes on the 15% i never got. And that our pay is 8 an hour? @nightrider: So you think I take tips and don't even say thanks. I don't think I've ever seen a waiter doing that...not so far that is. I am good in what I do, I wouldnt have done it for 15 years if I wasnt. I respect everyone I don't know to the point they give me a reason not to respect them. That's who I am. Don't assume I am an az'ole just cause I share my negative experiences with you.
Help me,i try my italians (sicilian) parents in Los Angeles and New York? Hello, i'm an Italian boy who lives in Siciia (Adrano-Catania) and has many relatives immigrated in the United States is to Los Angeles that to New York, with which they are not successful to remain in contact through my grandfathers. The family calls Severino, me single memory the name of a my cousins who called Ingrid and of old uncle of Saro name and is sure that she still lives to Los Angeles. I know that it is practically impossible to find them thus, but I am trying them all, I pray to you help me. Thanks.
So the Italians were spared in Mumbai, eh? A note from a correspondent or embassy official based in Mumbai clarifies that the terrorists spared the life of an Italian. They were looking out for Americans, British and Israelis. The Jewish position in world affairs absolutely mystifies because Jews (whether Israeli, American, British or in the old days Austrian, German, Czech) are the only group (and not even a race) which is singled out for targetting. I am not talking about civil war. I am talking about the targetting of civilians. In all the years that Blacks were absolutely loathed in the American southern states and made to sit in the back of the bus or prohibited from using the same soda counters as their white counterparts, I cannot for the life recall any incident where Blacks were victimized or set siege to. The Klan lynchings I think are altogether different. But where Jews are concerned, or anything to do with Israel, boy- the sky`s the limit. An Italian said it, and I`ll repeat it- `The Jordanians and the Syrians allowed the Palestinians to languish in internment camps for years so as to make Israel look rotten.` But why should it have made Israel look rotten? It should have made Jordan and Syria look rotten.
Are any Italian-Americans upset over Pastor Wrights hate speech? I was backing Obama but this has really hurt me. Why did Rev Wright say The ROmans were Italians who were rich white people who opressed jesus christ? I did not hear Rev Wright single out any nationality but Italians and then he says "GUILANI" fits the mold of a rich white man.. Another Italian american.. To me this is very racist and offending to me as an Italian American.. My great grandparents came to NYC from Italy and italians were treated like crap at that time, there signs that said "NO GUINEAS" and Guilani came from a poor family and worked hard in city college to work his way up.. I am deepy offended that he would single out Italians like this. why is he attacking Guilani who is not even running? what does he have to do with anything?
What attracts Black women to white men, especially Italian ones? Im Italian and im noticing more black/latina women love them. I am attracted to women of color because of their beauty traits. So what attracts Black women to italians? or just white men in general? oh im single by the way...feel free to email me in the NYC area..lol
World War One and Two experts? I have to do a history thing and it gives me a primary source about arguments from Earl Warren and Louis Goldblatt. Louis Goldblatt wanted japanese-americans to be relocated because he thought they posed a greater threat. Earl Warren said you can't single them out and if you relocated them then if germans or italians did something you would have to get rid of them too. So, how the attitudes expressed by Warren compare to the fears of alien subversion during WW1. I just need to know what were the fears of alien subversion in world war one.
Is this proof of Hispanics strong family values? A new report out from the Pew Hispanic Center confirms what many observers already suspected about the illegal immigrant population in the United States: It is made up increasingly of intact families and their American-born children.Nearly half of illegal immigrant households consist of two-parent families with children, and 73 percent of these children were born here and are therefore U.S. citizens. The hard-line immigration restrictionists will, no doubt, find more cause for alarm in these numbers. But they should represent hope to the rest of us. One of the chief social problems afflicting this country is the breakdown in the traditional family. But among immigrants, the two-parent household is alive and well. Only 21 percent of native households are made up of two parents living with their own children. Among legal immigrants, the percentage of such households jumps to 35 percent. But among the illegal population, 47 percent of households consist of a mother, a father and their children. Age accounts for the major difference in household composition between the native and foreign-born populations: Immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, tend to be younger, while the native population includes large numbers of older Americans whose children have already left home. But out-of-wedlock births and divorce, which are more common among the native born – especially blacks, but also Hispanics and whites – also mean that even young native households with children are more likely to be headed by single women than immigrant households are. But the greater concern for some opponents of immigration – legal and illegal – is the fear that these newcomers will never fully adapt, won't learn English, will remain poor and uneducated, and transform the United States into a replica of Mexico or some other Latin American country. The same fears led Americans of the mid-19th century to fear German and Irish immigrants, and in the early 20th century to fear Italians, Jews, Poles, and others from Eastern and Southern Europe. Such worries are no more rational today – or born out of actual evidence – than they were a hundred years ago. It is true that Hispanic immigrants today take awhile to catch up with the native born just as their European predecessors did, and illegal immigrants never fully do so in terms of education or earnings. But there is still some room for optimism in the Pew Hispanic report. Nearly half of illegal immigrants between the ages of 18-24 who have graduated from high school attend college. A surprising 25 percent of illegal immigrant adults have at least some college, with 15 percent having completed college. And although earnings among illegal immigrants are lower than among either the native population or legal immigrants, they are far from destitute. The median household income for illegal immigrants was $36,000 in 2007 compared with $50,000 for native-born households. And illegal immigrant males have much higher labor force participation rates than the native born, 94 percent compared with 83 percent for U.S.-born males. The inflow of illegal immigrants has slowed substantially since the peak, which occurred during the economic boom of the late 1990s, not in recent years, contrary to popular but uninformed opinion. The Pew Hispanic Center estimates there are nearly 12 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S. now, a number that has stabilized over the last few years as a result both of better border enforcement and the declining job market. As a result, there might never be a better time to grapple with what to do about this population than right now. The fact that so many illegal immigrants are intertwined with American citizens or legal residents, either as spouses or parents, should give pause to those who'd like to see all illegal immigrants rounded up and deported or their lives made so miserable they leave on their own. A better approach would allow those who have made their lives here, established families, bought homes, worked continuously and paid taxes to remain after paying fines, demonstrating English fluency, and proving they have no criminal record. Such an approach is as much about supporting family values as it is granting amnesty. Nearly half of illegal immigrant households consist of two-parent families with children, and 73 percent of these children were born here and are therefore U.S. But among the illegal population, 47 percent of househol
Everyone knows Italy will win but the score? I know that the Italians will win it. They have the best defence and goalie in the world. There is not a single team that can stop them. But coming July 9th what do you think the score will be? I predict a 3-0 for the Italians. FORZA ITALIA. FORZA AZZURRI. Everyone knows Italy will win even the French. Everyone knows Italy will win even the French.
Beekeeping question.....wich type of honeybee should i get? italians carniolans cordovans and russians. wich is the best for my dallas texas weather and wich has the most desirable characteristcs for a single top bar hive. i only have one and im not trying to make money off my honey. i just want to keep some bes as a hobby. also where do i go to get a package of bees in plano texas?
Could this mean im italian? (this one is for yall that answered my other question and for anyone else)? I hope yall remember my other question about being italian. I thank everyone for their answers, that really helped. Now i did what yall told me to do and look into more. So i did. I found out that my last name means baccalarius in latin, and baccalarre is italian. Its just shortened in italian compared to the latin one. And that was the first time my name was born in that language, but there is no real origin for it. It still meant bachelor as being single back then, when it was starting to be used around and after 8 A.D. when single men were being seperated from married men. So doesnt that actually make me italian if my name was originally bought up in rome, and by the italians. It has went thru lots of variables, and is now of course bachelor, and batchelor. But really its not english origin cuz the origin is still unkown, it just says that cuz the english happened to name people batchelor around 1600 as a real last name, before that they used it as a name for knights.
PEOPLE FROM U.S.A: How many continents are there? HINT: America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa and Antarctica. There are 6 (SIX). The rings from the Olympics represent them (of course, the last one was not included, because it's not habitated). REMEMBER: There are six (no more, no less), but you can "divide" them such as Western Europe, North Africa or South America just for being more specific to a location or place, but they are always six. Understand? CONCLUSION: America is one single CONTINENT, so stop calling the U.S.A. as "America" because it is NOT (and don't say it's the "short form"). I don't even know how to call you. Example: Mexico (mexicans), ITALY (italians), U.S.A.(?), and by the way, what a name for a country! SERIOUSLY: How do you want to be called (nationality)?, because when your president says: "My Fellow Americans...", is he talking to me? Don't think so. May I say Yankees or North Americans? Nope, I'd be referring to Canada too. NOTE: U.S.A. rules (movies, food, games, etc), but the name is wrong...
Women over the age of 30, can you answer this question? I have a circle of 4 girl friends. 3 of which are married, two have children. Me and Stacey are the only two single. My family, traditional italians, are putting the pressure on me to settle. I called off my wedding last year because my fiance's family couldn't handle my being white and he being black. Anyhow, I'm now living with a new guy and I'm happy, but I don't think I want to get married. How to handle this? Am I a loser? Will I lose my friends, ultimately? I'm gonna be 36 this year. I have no kids either.
Why are the Americans so arrogant in saying that god bless america and no place else.? Facts: 1- Most of the Americans have never traveled outside of their hometown yet alone outside the country. 2- They are calling out Italians and Germans with Mussolini and Hitler statements but they are currently invading a sovereign country ( a decision that was not decided by people's vote in this "democratic" country.) 3- They are torturing presumed innocent people in Guantanamo? 4- Their soldiers are raping and killing innocent people in Iraq. Even making videos of these atrocities. Finally: God bless every single human, not just America. When I lived in the US I enjoyed the general Americans, however the hard core Republicans and their politicians are simply making the rest of the world hate them. GOD BLESS US ALL and I only wrote this against the stupid comments they have been putting up due to 4th of July otherwise lets stick to football and FORZA AZURRI. (Though I am Italian may the best team win, I just hope its Italy)
History... italy? Why was unifying Italy into a single nation so difficult? A. Very few Italians were interested in independence and in uniting Italy into a single country. B. France controlled all of italy and was too powerful for the Italians to overthrow. C. Italy was divided into many kingdoms, each with different cultures, languages, and forms of government. D. Italy could not be united unless the Pope agreed to recognize the new government.
Italy - Verona/Venice/Milan? I hope I don't offend any Italians with my question, but I'm wondering if these places are okay for a single woman to travel to? Are there any bad areas to avoid? I happen to be in this area and I'm planning to visit these cities as I'm flying to Italy via Milan but returning via Venice. Any other interesting places I shouldn't miss that's within 2-3 hours travel?
Italian friends love black women? Okay, heres the story. the majority of my male friends are italians. and i've noticed every single one of them love black women. It's almost undescribable. You could show them an absolutely gorgeous white women, yet the instant they see a black women walking they all look in amazement and "amore". It doesnt matter where they are, one time we all were driving down the road and this black women was walking along. they stopped the car called her "amore" and baught her a rose from the lady selling them near the stop lights, kissed her hand and drove off. It's like they have some sort of magnetic attraction to black women, i'm starting to think maybe italians are african descended. im confused whats going on
Octo mom has to many kids? Who are we to say that. In the 1950’s mothers popped out 8-15 kids all the time! My grandmother alone had 14 children, my moms number 13 and I love my big family! Italians are known for having huge family’s, so really what’s the big deal? Is it that she’s a single mom? I thought “love” was all u need isn’t that what the gay community says!
kissing etiquette help!!? do italians kiss twice or three or a single time on the cheek ...my sister is married to an italian guy, and its my fisrt time over at their family...and she told me to get the kissing thing correct i know its not the cheek...its more like cheek to cheek rather than lips to cheek...or something like that
how come when whites move away? to get away from blacks,it becomes a "ghetto"? asians keep to themselves, and it becomes chinatown.italians do it,and it becomes little italy.when white people move somewhere to be alone,it becomes Canada, and America. but every time you leave the blacks alone,it becomes a ghetto.every single time, without fail.why? lol yes ive been to Canada.i live just east of Vancouver.when Canada was built,it was by white people.when we abandon our neigborhoods to blacks, they will become slums.GUARANTEED. i think Ralph clarified it for all of us.thank you,Ralph. lol its Burnaby, not barnaby.and that isnt where i live.besides,im part Cree i get along with natives fine.Blacks are the ones teaching the natives to be shiftless and lazy, and to depend on whites.blacks are ruining the natives, not whites.teaching them how to work the system, instead of standing on their own two feet.you just bring everybody down. i really dont see how white conquest of the north american continent has anything whatsoever to do with blacks running down their neigborhoods.i really dont.bhesides, whites arent the only ones to gain real estate through war.its happening all over africa right this second.whites are just better at it,thats all.
What do you think of this recent violation I just got.? Question: If Mexicans who are in the U.S illegally, want a path to citizenship, why do they wave their Mexican flags? Question Details: first off.. i guess there's no culture in indiana where youre from. because i see plenty of italians and english and brazilians and spanish and russians and jamacians and french and many more waving their flags. and i also see many places with signs in french and italian and russian..so on. but i mean come on. why do people like you always say "im not racist" but then say racist things? i mean..hey i'm married to a white russian women..but i still hate crackers..BUT AT LEAST I CAN ADMIT I HATE SOME WHITE FOLKS. why can't you? at least be man or women enough to so say instead of being a liar. which in all reality is the worst thing anyone could be. obviously my response is at the bottom. I think the post was down right racist and in the form of a rant. the guy clearly trys to single out on particular group. here's a link to his bull question and the rest of his rant. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aimn8Tr_288APrUYe4r39snsy6IX?qid=20070522110235AAF1UEn i was violated because i reposonded TO THIS QUESITON i didn't ask it. that's the point. this isn't about illegals this is about the guy trying to blame mexicans period for waving their home country flags-but HE'S MASKING HIS RACISM IN THE FORM OF A ...QUESTION CONCERNING ILLEGALS. fact of the matter is-many people wave their flags-illegal or not-yet he only has a problem with "illegal mexicans?"...and he points that anyone mexican waving their flag must be illegal? THAT'S THE WHOLE FIGHT I HAVE AGAINST HIM. illegal or not has nothing to do with his feelings.
Racism....what is it good for...huh.....absolutely nothing? Everyone is all up in arms about what Kramer said blah blah blah...racist this and that....and the only reason why he's getting put threw the ringer is b/c he's white (Jewish) but nonetheless white. So when black, mexican, asian or any other nationality beside caucasion comedians make fun of white ppl why is that not considered racist? And don't give me that slave BS....every single race on the face of this earth has been at one time or another enslaved....you don't see me going around hating on Italians b/c 1500 yrs ago their Roman anchesters enslaved my Angelo/Germatic anchesters. Whatever dude....I hate racism but what I hate more than racism is Hypocracy!
I noticed that im more atrtacted to Puerto Ricans...but im Indian, is this accepted in eitha society? im mixed with East Indian n Italian...and i love both East Indians and Italians a lot. I wanna be w/ anotha Indian cuz of our culture, language (i wanna have someone around that speaks the same language as me;)...i also know that im very attracted to Italians, but more so Indians...but, when it comes to Puerto Ricans, i cant help but to drop my jaw! the love of my life is Puerto Rican!!! im Indian/Italian and live in a 95% puerto rican neighborhood...n sometimes i wish i was puerto rican! im startin to speak more Spanish than Gujrati...n i mean, what if i actually start movin away from my own culture. i noticed that i really wanna be w anotha Indian, but man...i think i might rather be with a puerto rican now. i mean, both r very attractive...but not many Indians in my area. im sure if there was i wouldnt be single no more, but would it be accepted for me (Indian) and my love (Puerto Rican) by both our cultures to be togetha? my mom didnt advise it, but she wants me to be single anyway i aint a fan of goyal...well, maybe not #1 fan, but i did meet him last week when i did garbha...n he lightweight seemed like a ass. but i dnt remember votin u as best answer on that question, and it was prolly cuz that account got deleted or sumthin...but, maybe the group voted u or some1 hacked in my account. but, its cool...i aint trippin about it;-)
wat im attracted 2 lol, kinda wired!? lol, recently i realised i'm attracted to italians, it's really wired i no, but i'm still young, and i dream to go to italy to meet the love of me life! but i dunno if i'll b single, lets say 19!? so im not sure wat do 2.
Why won't the U.S. make a decent sport bike? Why isn't there one single U.S. manufacturer who can compete with the Japanese and Italians and make sport bike which is simple in design and costs comparable to the Japanese and Italian competitors? Okay, there is Buell. Okay bike for the street, but do you see Buells on the pro-race track? If you are lucky enough, it will be heavily modified to meet standards. The best thing Buell has is the 1125R and it still doesn't even come close to anything out there that costs less. Why can't Buell make a similar engine, frame and body design comparable to the Japanese makes or liek a Ducati? Why must they be so different in trying to make something they think is better? Look at Motoczysz, a U.S. maker who thought they could sell some radical design for $100,000 per bike which even Valentino Rossi's team wouldn't pay for no matter how good the bike was. Obviously it wasn't even that good. Motoczysz who? Why don't U.S. makers just put their head between the legs and just copy a Japanese or European sport bike and have at least a simple sport bike which everyone likes and can afford and decent enough for MotoGP? Even a cheap Korean sport bike like the Hyosung is better and more than the U.S. has. Before you know it, China will have a line of sport bikes out in the U.S. and all we will still have is Buell....whoopdie-doo It has nothing do with funding either because U.S. makers seems to have zero problems with developing new designs for huge cruiser bikes, so what is so difficult about a sport bike? Unlike Dimo...let's keep to the subject. I didn't ask what types of motorcycles the U.S. makes that HE thinks are more dangerous. As far as costs. Japanese workers don't work cheap. The cost of living in Japan is much higher than the U.S. so if they can make decent sportbikes without paying overpaid union workers then the U.S. can too. And you wouldn't have to pay overseas shipping either.......
only the fun-loving will understand this 2-minute short course on the bibles...? God exists i quarantee it. He wants you to beleive one life one world thats it. And the laws of physics can't be changed so remember no magic miracles. beleive in what they said in a war movie. German superior technology. Stolen all the time by a'bad'don of the abyss called hell and his angels from God the Fat'her(r) also known to italia as IIII I . but scholars said that ain't a word so they published it as DIO. Thats a wild out their guess. So i stay peaceful while they allies their forces against Me. So when it was said Satan of hell rebelled they must have rallied from the assasination of God the Fat'her(r) and went on to rule the world as some translations say. And if GOD was the Son of LORD GOD in times new roman font see the Son within the LORD is TODD. And God the HOLY SPIRIT when translated to numbers and summed up till only one no. remains sums to 7 and that is Stevens.n where e+e=S and are the same because both are .I7 mixed up and stitched together. So the entity called TODD Stevenson also LARRY or LARE or LARI to the italians who have no Y like Jerry's Kids with a special alphabet i had to make them understand. And I AM=i am thus I AIVI stitched together=I AM and iarri stitched together=i am as further proof my life appears to be the life of LORD GOD. And if italians murder Me it is entirely possible that GOD your LORD DIES in times new roman font WAR thats why /AR\ is pronounced lari and TAD pronounced TODD is His name hidden in WAR. So perhaps because it appears no one is helping LORD GOD is because of fear of italians and thus the story you are hearing about is the DEATH OF THE SUPREME BEING. And they won't let Me make one single dime out of it because they rat it out or hide it saying telling what i see in the words is ratting out. IIII I . as italias DIO IIII I .S\\ where \\=il and is hidden at the top end of the S as spains DIOS IIII I E U as frances DIEU where E=[iL CUTnuTiTas germany's GOTT when put together CUTOD as englands GOD when put together al lari with a I above r as arabias allah when put together S\\HANCUTIIII I as chinas SHANGDI when put together So 7 nations 7 tongues all describing one poor kid (38) born upon emperor's earth on 9 I7 1968 with name pronounce Lari Tod Stevens.n with a cut arm appearing IIII I . Mystery of Gods new name solved. Its God. but it used to be Larry Todd Stevenson. All hail the EMPEROR.
see kingoffingland 's 360 page and photos for 8 nations words that describe the LORD your God.? they all when viewed from a certain veiw point describe one single Man called lari Tod appearing with sealed cuts looking like IIII I . So to make biblical prophesies come true 2 more national languages need to be discovered so that the 10 nation confederacy can unite under the Supreme Being. IIII I . IIII I E U IIII I . S IIII I = U S with = underlined as DEUS CuTnuTiT as GOTT CuTOD as GOD allari with a I above the r to make it allah S\\HANCuTIIII I as SHANGDI THE LORD IS GOD. but all those holy words describe Me so I AM the promised visitation of the Lord thy God but existing rulers deny deny deny cause they want their sons to be the LORD GODS but they are the false Gods and I AM is the God who is true, pure, and 1. scholars can probably tell Me the other two languages dieties that describe Me. stupid people won't understand this cause a'bad'don of the abyss ie Satan of hell wants the world for his criminal italians and not for God the fat'her(r). what are they?

(ITALY) Why was Amanda Knox sentenced to 26 years and Rudy Guede 30 years? Hello guys I was reading the papers about a case thats been going on in Italy for quite a long tome now about the murder of Meredith Kercher so i was wondering why the Italians condemed Amanda Knox to a period of 26 years in jail while Rudy Guede was sentenced to 30 years. Both Amanda Knox, Rudy and Rafaelle Solletico where involved in the murder no doubt and Amanda as a matter of fact accused someone else of being the murderer and lied so many times in court about not remembering what happened that night and she was sentenced to a lesser jail term. Does that make any sence. Someone explain all these. Secondly why do you italians give a jail term of only 25 to 30 years or even less for murderers in the case of an ordinary individual while mafias recieve a life sentence? Whats the difference between a single murder crime and multiple murder crimes? In the United States thats the minimun stay period for rapists and child molesters and the maximum stay for drug carriers. While murderers of any kind get the death penalty or life sentence? Also why do people keep saying Amanda knox is so sweet and pretty. Is she not supposed to go to jail for murder because she has a pretty face. Do most people judge murderers according to their nice features and comportment or based on evidence? Please people be honest...Are people that easily decieved by outward appearances or they are dumb. No offence.. I think she's guilty even if she didn't actively participate in the murder. She was present at the murder scene and apparently made no attempt to stop it. I haven't really seen any signs of remorse on her part but she is someone who is willing to finger someone else to avoid responsibility.
Will a very casually dressed tourist get no respect in Italy? So here's the deal, I'm in my 20's and I would like to visit Italy (Venice, Rome, Florence) on my own. I've read in various places that tourist should dress nicely and have expensive looking clothes because Italians will give you more respect that way. Well, that's not my style. Practically every day I wear jeans, a tee shirt I got at a concert and some converse or vans. My jeans are never ironed and my shoes sometimes have holes in them lol. I'm just really low maintenance. I really don't want to dress like someone I'm not but I don't want to be treated like some delinquent either. Any advice? Also, For a bag, I usually use a Tokidoki messenger bag. It has little cartoon characters on it but it is made by an Italian designer. Is this unwise to use? How do italians feel about visible tattoos? Got one on my wrist? Should I keep it covered? Any extra tips for single travelers is very much welcomed. Link me to some good sites. Thanks in advance to any Helpful replies.

White Americans i got a question for all of you please!? I might have bad experience,i might have meet all the wrong ones, but i want to ask you some things! 1)Are you proud of your European origin?Because from personal experience and from what i see from American Media ,white Americans prefer to make fun and in many cases humiliating European people (like French being smelly,Greeks being hairy ,Italians being greasy etc etc) ! Is it a crime in USA to be proud of your European heredity? 2)I have notice black Americans and Asian American and Mexican-Americans are really proud and connected with their continent of origin, all the charities Oprah does for Africa,JLo for Rico etc etc! I have also notice many African-Americans supporting in things like sports, blacks of other countries even when they compete against Americans (non black) and Mexican-Americans do the same in many cases as well, for Native Mexicans!(Spike Lee and Muhammad Ali are 2 famous cases) On the other hand, i have notice white Americans are the most harsh critics and they judge the white Europeans with the worse possible way,it might be a bad personal experience, even though i do not think so,because YA has many white Americans and most of them sound the same way against white European athletes in every single sport! So why is that? Why all races take pride for their continent of origin and in most cases help and root for them, but white Americans being so hard with Europeans? Is this the way they have raise you in USA?The political correct in USA to hate Europe and white people? In USA the political correct is to be ashamed of being European in heredity, but to proud for being African American or Asian American? It looks like this to me:)Enlighten me and educate me please:) Joshua and Melchior is exactly what i meant about, you kidos of 50 cent and Eminem generation learn 2 things A man without his family and heredity and without education IS NOTHING!
Is your doctor this helpfull? DEAR DOCTOR: Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). What will my kids look like? Okay so my Husband is Asian, black hair, almost black/brown eyes and golden/dark skin that when tanned becomes very dark like Native American skin, very pretty! I am very fair, get a light golden tan, blue/green eyes and light brown almost blonde hair. My mom is Native American, has black curly hair, green eyes and my father is German/American and has medium brown hair and ice-blue eyes. My husband’s mother is fair, has hazel colored eyes, and dark brown straight hair, his father has black straight hair and dark skin and dark brown eyes. I was wondering who will the kids look like the most? I am guessing that our children will look more like my husband, I am thinking curly dark hair, and light to dark brown eyes. Is there any chance of them having blue or green eyes? Or looking like me at all? I had almost white hair as a child, which darkened as I grew up until it is almost a light brown color. His siblings all have darker skin and black hair (Like Greeks or Italians, not DARK but darker than porcelain like me) 2 of them have curly hair and the others wavy hair. I have pin straight hair, not a single curl to it. What would they look like do you think?
Who Wants To Read And Check My 1000 Word Essay On WWII? Flying A Flag A Flag For Hitler: The autobiographical novel, Flying a Flag For Hitler by Elsbeth Emmerich gives an insight into family life in a German household during the time of Hitler in WWII. Elsbeth and her family was definitely, one of the severely affected families from war. Emmerich’s story covers her early, distressing childhood from the ages of 5 to 8 (1941 to 1945). At such a young age, Elsbeth suffered, as many others did, effects of war and its aftermath, death, hiding and the deep emotional pain of sorrow and fear. Elsbeth is now a survivor of WWII, and lives to tell her story. She tells her biography in the eyes of herself as a young girl. Flying a Flag for Hitler gives the reader an insight into family life in a German household during the time of Hitler in WWII. From the novel the reader gains an understanding of the pain and suffering that was not only inflicted upon people of Jewish faith, but all nations involved in WWII. Hitler had promised the people of Germany safety and security from allied forces, though this was an unachievable ideal, and many Germans suffered from bomb raids and the feelings of constant fear from American arms. This lead to a revolt amongst Germany, and the Gestapo was enforced on supposedly, unruly Germans. This novel by Elsbeth Emmerich may influence others, and cause them to realize that no one is right in war no matter who is fighting or what is at stake, and no one is left unaffected. Elsbeth and her family was deffinately, one of those severely affected by war. Elsbeth was only 5 years old when the rise of Nazi Germany came to power. She tells of her experiences about her perspective of war during her early childhood. ‘Now I was getting an idea of what war was. War meant being bombed, losing good friends and neighbours and most of all, it meant losing a much loved father.’ (pg 96) At such a young age, Elsbeth suffered, as many others did, effects of war and its aftermath, death, hiding and the deep emotional pain of sorrow and fear. Elsbeth dealt with many of these sad and traumatic experiences at just 5 years of age. She was faced with constant of running and hiding from American troops and bombs, and also the pain of a knowing that her father was serving at the front line under Hitler. Though all this stress was placed on young Elsbeth, she still showed bravery and courage to continue and pursue a ‘normal’ life. Elsbeth is now a survivor of WWII, and lives to tell her story. She tells her biography in the eyes of herself as a young girl, she expressed of how she often felt confused during war, and was curious to know more. To know that her friends and family were safe, to know she would still live to see tomorrow and to know that her father would return home again. She described that she felt as if though no one was right during war times. When it came to war suffering affected everybody. Emmerich’s story covers her early, distressing childhood from the ages of 5 to 8 (1941 to 1945), and covers the largest and worst times of WWII for the Emmerich family. Elsbeth had arranged her biography chronologically, covering times of contentment through to despair and anguish in the Emmerich family to give a broad spectrum of how abruptly times changed for German families. In writing this novel, Emmerich probably drew on her past experiences, as well as those of her siblings and local community members. Also, she may have used background information on Hitler, and other Jewish and German stories from the period to avoid a single-minded perspective. The form of Emmerich’s autobiography is a 220-page recount on one event in her childhood story, WWII. The photos in the novel of her family and father in war gives the novel, personality, and allows the reader to realise that this war did take place and did effect average, law-abiding German citizens. The novel, Flying a Flag for Hitler has made me come to realise just how powerful and poignant WWII was for the people of Germany. I enjoyed the different view on WWII compared to many famous Jewish biographies such as The Diary of Anne Frank; Flying A Flag for Hitler is a very rare account. Although, at times the book was very ‘blunt’ with information about the war in general, mostly likely because of the limited information young Elsbeth was given at the time. Furthermore I see now that I was at time, ignorant to the Germans I believe my view on German people came from my grandmother's generation, who had lived and lost dear ones in both world wars, were very resentful. Just as many see Italians and the Japanese particularly. Of course, it is still an easy joke in this country when perhaps, rather unfeelingly; we mock the old Nazi stereotype with our notorious sense of humour, and disregard the German people entirely without taking into account that they lost loved ones too. I really have began to see another side to the Germans about their past, which often, lowered my opin opinion of them greatly. I realise now that I have many Italian and Japanese friends, so why should I disregard Germans and be stereotypical to them and say that every German is obnoxious and full of themselves? I find it hard now to comprehend and justify why I thought and said such things. In all honesty, I believe that Flying a Flag for Hitler has really changed my view on the Germans in war, Hitler and my view on Germany today. I believe Elsbeth Emmerich’s main message is of great importance and should always be taken into account. “That no-one is right in war, no matter who is fighting or what is at stake, and no one is left unaffected” Thanks you for reading... I know it could be pretty big. :)... Are there any grammatical error... If so please feel free to tell me... English isn't my 1st language... Thanks Swiss-Australian, Jack McNamara

If you believe in evolution - and the discovery channel, are you denying god? I ask this question because we have factual evidence of evolution. we are and always have been in a transitional phase of evolution...we have museums, scientists, dedicated to show us how certain trees/flowers/animals are over100 million years old,and the museum of natural history shows us the evolutionary chain of standing upright from apes to humans...etc. You've heard the whole song and dance. Old school people (off the boat italians) do not believe in evolution because they claim it does deny god...from their words, the Bible created man, adam and eve...they were already human, no mention of apes and single celled organisms, therefore, we did not evolve from apes, we simply were created from dust by god and man and woman were his creation(their words, not mine). so i ask you....do you think believing in evolution, claims that the bible cannot be right, and god could not have created adam and eve when "he" created this world, since wehave factual evidence that we existed mill yrs ago

Is it just me or are all Black Gangsters Italian Mafioso Wannabes? I ask because I have lived in Black Neighborhoods and Italian Neighborhoods and Im not saying either one is guaranteed to be gangster dominated but I will say after observing the action of both, that Black Gangsters just appear to be a sloppy less organized more violent version that wishes to have the control and power that Italian Gangsters did. Examples, the streets in most Italian Neighborhoods Little Italy in Baltimore, Bella Vista in Philadelphia, Ozone Park or Bensonhurst in New York are all safe to walk on. Examples the streets in Black Neighborhoods like East or West Baltimore, North Philadelphia and Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville in Brooklyn, 7 year old kids get shot over pairs of Air Jordans, theres no control of the drug trade, supposed associates violently betray one another, theres very little community organization. The Homicide Rate backs this up, a given Black Neighborhood has more Homicides in a Single Week than an Italian Neighborhood does in a given year. So I ask, are all the Black Gangsters and Drug Dealers really just Italian Gangster Wannabes, it seems so because everything Italians have ran right, Blacks run in a less organized less protective and more violent manner.

The race problem? How to deal with it? A race may be defined as: 1. A group of creatures that look the same (e.g. leopards vs pumas) Problem: no people of a single human race look the same: e.g. red-haired Irish certainly don't look the same as blond-haired Finns. 2. A group of creatures that can potentially be full sibs, half sibs, or first cousins. Problem: any two humans can be first cousins, and many people of the same race cannot be full sibs nor half sibs (due to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haplogroup) 3. A race of people consists of people with the same skin color: then Australian aboriginals and sub-Sararan African would be the same raced, and Chinese and Spanish and Italians would be the same race. This is both arbitrary and absurd. IMO: a race is a group of creatures who INSTINCTIVELY see one another as the same KIND and breed only amongst themselves, and therefore they can all potentially be full sibs, half sibs, or first cousins. Agree? And your thoughts?

I would like some honest answers to this-What do you think about my potential book I'm writing, and how can I ? Improve it? I need honest answers, people. Thanks.... Here it is.... ONCE UPON A WAR By Alex Cubero Chapter 1 An explosion rocked me and my hiding place. People screamed out. A body thunked next to me. Blood was coming out of his eyes and nose. Another of my friends. Another American troop, lost to the war. Angrily I peeked over the wall. I saw no enemies, but blew a Swastika flag to shreds of fabric. I ran out, hunched over, searching for enemies. I ran inside the giant building. BAM! BAM! BAMBAM! A row of holes shattered the tiles next to me. I ducked behind a tipped-over table. I sighted with my Tommy. A lone Nazi was hunched behind his MG 42, trying to find me. I aimed as carefully as possible, and shot one shot. His head erupted and split, little bits of Evil splashing everywhere. The call aroused several voices from a room just a little ahead of me. “Was war das?” “Was ist los? Sie! Adolf! Gehen Sie dort hinaus!” A shrimpy-looking Nazi came out of the room, timidly looking around. A mouse scuttled out from the wall and he emptied his clip at it. The mouse scuttled away, but Adolf fell backwards, hitting his helmetless head on the ground, knocking him out. I silently stepped over him. Harsh laughs came from the room. 3, I judged. I reloaded my Tommy. I stepped out from behind the wall and emptied my clip, fighting to stay on target. I looked at the gore. A general? Why is a general at a small house in Italy? What am I missing here? I was out of clips for my gun. I picked up that kid, Adolf, that’s right, his gun. I took out the clip. I stripped him of all his Nazi uniform. I pitied the kid, even if he was a Nazi. I threw the clothes behind a table. I took clips out of the other Nazis guns. I cocked the MP40. I sneaked up the stairs. I looked over the wall. A single Italian Blackshirt was asleep in a chair. I went up to him and put my Colt 45 to his head. I pulled the trigger. BOOM! Half the house was gone. I couldn’t think. My ears rung and a giant weight pinned my legs down. Red surrounded my vision. The ringing dimmed. My Brain started working again. Ah. It was an explosion. A big one. A bomb. That is when the red seared my vision. The pain had registered. Dear god! My eyes opened wide. I opened my mouth and bit the nearest rafter. I bit hard, and screamed on the inside. The pain diminished slightly. I took deep breathes. I lifted myself a bit. Ow! No. Most certainly NOT happening. I started lifting and heaving what I could off of me. I tried to slide out a little. It hurt, but I tried anyway. I slid out. After I was out, I felt my legs. Nothing was broken, surprisingly, but that left a bruise. I stood up, very painfully. This is gonna be fun. I ran a little. I climbed the ladder down, and surveyed the damage. Just then the rest of the house collapsed. I coughed and ran away from the dust. I stabbed three Nazis in the way. I jumped in a Willie. I sped past Americans and ran down Italians and Germans. Two sdkfz 2 half tracks swerved in front of me. I jumped out of my jeep just in time, and the three vehicles slammed into each other, tires rolling here and there. I shoved a grenade in the wreckage, pulled the pin, and ran away. An explosion told me that the Nazis were dead for sure, now. Suddenly I thought. I cursed silently. I could have had more ammo. A crunch of gravel made me whip around, gun at the ready. An American soldier was crouching and poking at the melted inferno that was once three vehicles. “I bombed it already. You don’t have to worry,” I said. He looked up. “But...you have an MP40...wouldn’t they have had ammo?” he asked. “Yup. Yes. Yeah. I know. I’m a total idiot. And you’re probably a genius...but waddya expect? College, I said. Who needs it, I said. The Army doesn’t, I said. Well...Don’t get shot,” I ranted. I walked off and the guy watched me go. I walked through ruins. Dead soldiers littered the ground. Guns and shells sat next to them. A crumpled tank sat in one corner. Overturned vehicles were here and there. AA guns sat smoking, dotting the expanse of death and wrecks. I sighed. This was war. This was what I signed up for, making my family worry. Risking myself. Missing out on the groovy 40s. I listened for the first time I jumped out of the plane into this...place. Guns shooting constantly. They sound like firecrackers. Harmless, little, firecrackers. Explosions sounded on occasion, too. Just a bigger firework. If that was all they were, I wouldn’t be listening to them like this. I stood there contemplating for a while. Searchlights scanned the night sky and AA guns fired at Allied bombers. Explosions in the air marked the loss of another good guy. I meandered through the town. My MP40 hung limply at my side. I put it on my shoulder and tightened the strap. The stars shimmered beautifully. Every once in a while the stars were blocked out by a massive shape. If I didn’t know that The stars shimmered beautifully. Every once in a while the stars were blocked out by a massive shape. If I didn’t know that it was a plane, I would be scared. Bombs fell on certain areas. Three Messerschmitt 109 airplanes flew overhead. I shot at one, threw a grenade at another. The grenade one got his tale blown off. He fell and exploded. The shot-at one escaped, turned around, and started to shoot where I was. It flew by, turned again, and followed his partner, assured he had killed me. BOOM! KA-PWOOM! Explosions. Shot by their own AA guns. Shows just how stupid Axis powers are. I started running. I didn’t know where I was running to. I just ran. I took off my gun and shot wildly. “Ich höre ein! Eintragfaden! Schießen Sie ihn! BEWEGEN SIE SICH HERAUS!” Three hundred, at least, Nazis came pouring out of an alley. “That’s a lot of ammo! Don’t bother shooting, boys! Save the ammo for me!” I yelled at them. I shot in rows, knocking 10 Nazis on average down each row. I showered them with with shots and showered the ground with shells. Down they went. Helmets fell. Men fell. Guns fell. Blood fell. Click. No. No no no no no!! Out of ammo. Already. Out of my holsters two Colt .45s came out. BLAM! BLAM! BLAMBLAMBLAM! More Nazis fell. 2 were left and my Colts were done. Out. I picked up the nearest Luger and fired two shots. The Nazis fell. I picked up as many clips as I could carry. Lugers, MP40s, Walthers, Mauser rifles, even a Panzerfaust. I walked-no, staggered, really-away with my load. I walked on. My load kept getting lighter with the appearance of Nazis and Blackshirts. American troops sometimes ran past. I didn’t even remember the objective. Something about AA guns. Or was it tanks? A certain weapon? A lieutenant of some sort? Eventually I’ll complete the objective if I destroy everything in sight, right? 15 or so Americans ran past me. An explosion ahead told me that was probably the objective. Three of our guys fell. Gunshots echoed through the town. A giant expl explosion sank three buildings. I covered my nose and mouth. Dust shot through the alley. I ran down to the rest of my troops. Five lay groaning. One was halfway covered by a building. 3 more were shot. The rest must be buried by the buildings. I looked around the rubble. There was nothing there. Bombs? It must have been bombs. I continued walking. I thought I heard a sort of squeaking sound. Then it stopped. Must have been bats. I never stopped walking. I never stopped thinking. I never stopped being lethal. Shots would ring out along my path. Bodies would thunk onto the ground. Swastikas would be shredded. German eagles obliterated. Clips stolen. Clips. More clips. More deaths. War. A machine. A meat grinder. Why? Why can’t we just...get along? And to think I ponder this while killing people. People who will die for their beliefs. War is an ugly beast, killing, shredding, and feasting on blood. Bang, a body falls. That easily. It takes so much to make a person, to make a life. A pull pull of a trigger. The life is extinguished. Good, bad, does it matter? In the other sides’ eyes, the other side is always bad. The pain can sear through and through, and all they feel is triumphant. The pain sears on them. They finally feel sorry. It’s not that the Nazis aren’t bad. They are. It just seems wrong that they can believe so hard they would die for it. It being their beliefs. And we kill them. After this war, we’ll probably hunt them down and kill them. Even if they are 96 and helpless, we will kill them. I shook my head. I need to focus. Maybe all this is true, but I still need to kill or be killed-and I want to live. BAMAMAMAMBAM!! Bodies fall to the ground. I stopped paying attention to where I was walking. I kept staring at the stars. Fire streaks showed the downed planes, speeding toward the ground. No doubt the drivers had passed out or were already dead. One streak was farther away than the others. I realized...that wasn’t a plane. That was a shooting star. Finally. A streak of beauty. WHAM! I slammed into something. Something very hard. I looked down. Oh no. No. No no no! I just hit a Tiger II tank. Made this year. There were only three. That was the squeaking sound. No doubt this was the objective. Chapter 2 Squeak. Squeak squeak. The turret turned toward me. A single Nazi popped out the top. “Sie sind nicht wert die Gewehrkugeln von dieser Schönheit. Ha, Sie sind nicht wert Gewehrkugeln von meinem Luger,” the Nazi sneered at me. “Möglicherweise obwohl, möglicherweise ich gerade einem ersparen kann.” He removed a Luger from his holster and pointed it at me. “Auf Wiedersehen,” He said to me. Until that moment I had appeared to be stunned. Right then I took out my MP40 and filled him with holes. He looked shocked. His eyes were wide. He chuckled and smiled at me. A kind smile. He threw his Luger down and raised his hands in surrender. “Ich schätze, dass ich dieses in der guten Stimmung nehmen sollte. Ich verdiente dieses. Ich tat wirklich. im Ende waren Sie das gute,” He said. He put his hand on my shoulder. He grinned again. “Ich bin...sorry,” he said. His eyes grew distant, then blank. His hand tightened, then went limp on my shoulder. His body sloped forward. His chest heaved once or twice, and then stopped. He was dead. Another hatch opened and the radio man came out, firing shots wildly. I ducked just in time and heard the bullet zoom overhead. “Kommen Sie heraus! Kommen Sie heraus! Ich bilde ihn schnell!” I heard him yell. A shape moved behind me and a Blackshirt raised his rifle. BLAM! The radio man didn’t recognize his own man. I heard the hatch close and the tank start. I ran past, careful not to be seen. It lurched forward and crushed the body. I snuck up to it. I quickly pulled the pin on a grenade and tossed it in the exhaust and ran and jumped down into the dirt. The radio man popped out and wondered what the metallic clinking sound was. BOOM! Shrapnel and larger pieces of metal flew by me. A fiery chunk of metal was all that remained. Three Americans leaped out of the shadows, bazookas raised. When they saw what remained of one of the Tiger II tanks, they lowered their bazookas. “You did that?” one of them asked. I nodded. A piece of metal shifted and a flaming Nazi ran out. The Americans gunned him down before he got two steps. It seemed cruel, but it would be more cruel to let him burn. What would be fitting would be to let him live with such horrible burns. A sudden tink tink sound made me grab two Americans and shove them to the ground. I was reaching up for the last one when a sudden explosion from within the tank sent fire hurling toward my arm. I yanked it back. I got the troop down, but, sadly, a sharp chunk of metal got him first. I’ll spare the details, but suffice it to say, we had to wipe ourselves off. One of the troops talked into his radio. The transmission came in clear; “wait 10 minutes and move into section K-24 at exactly 0600 hours. Bombing and clearing now.” We moved in close. Explosions rocked the ground under our feet. When they stopped, we checked the time and moved into the blackened clearing. The B-17 bomber buzzed and landed. Our Jump Master motioned for us to run and jump in. None of the others made it. The engines buzzed harder. We turned and took off. “We have to cut through Germany slightly and go through France. On the borders of Italy there are too many AA guns and Axis forces,” said the JM. Hours later he announced that we crossed the border of Germany. By then all the troops on the plane-4 of us-were playing Rock, Paper, Scissors. I was on a winning streak and getting the most shells, which we were using as currency. BOOM! AA guns shot at us. We saw the streaks of fire out of the window. Some came way too close. BAM! It sounder like the tail gunner-or what was left of him-was floating toward the earth. BABAMBABAM! The gunners on the top, bottom, and nose were shooting at a squadron of German planes coming straight toward us. Bombs whistled through the air as they tried desperately to make the AA guns go away. BOOM! I looked out the narrow slit that served as a window. I paled and started to get dizzy. “What’s up?” asked one of the guys. I shifted over a little so they could see the flames leaping through the air from our engine. A sound of shattering glass and the plane leaning to one side and losing altitude rapidly showed us that shrapnel had laid our captain to eternal peace. “Pretend it’s a green light! GO!! We don’t have much time!” The JM said, and jumped out the door. We hooked our hooks on the rails on the ceiling. We ran and jumped. Our parachutes opened, and our fall slowed. I saw the JMs’ chute get shot up. Luckily, he was near the ground, and landed rather well. He shoved off his chute and got his Thompson out. I saw him firing, motioning with his hand for us to wobble of behind the bushes, get tangled in a tree, and drop. We did as we were told, and got out our Tommy guns. We rushed out to help our JM. A Stielhandgranate flopped itself down next to me. I kicked it back and it exploded, sending Nazis flying without a plane. A sound of MP40s cocking behind our head sent a ripple of terror shattering my spin shattering my spine. “Angegangen! Lässt den Führer über diese kleine Sache sehen. Angegangen! Zum Bomber! JETZT!” Said the general behind my head. I put my hands up and dropped my Tommy. He pushed me towards a Heinkel bomber. We flew to Berlin, making bets with who was Hitlers’ “main squeeze.” Chapter 3 The Heinkel bumped up and down, and we could see concrete rushing past, as if in a hurry to run from the Nazi base ahead. The tires squealed as brakes were applied, and smoke poured from them, as if by magic. The smell of burning rubber wafted through the small slits that served as windows, and one of us gagged. A Nazi looked at us and chuckled at the gagging American. I wanted to rip off his lips, but if I did I knew I would have an MP40 shoved up my nose and shot. The bomber was slowing, then stopped. We all got up, and were shoved out of the plane. We were led into a big building with two SS guarding it, and with a huge Swastika flag that said “Heil Hitler” and an engravement on the building that said “Hitler ist Deutschland, unt Deutschland ist Hitler.” I stopped for a moment, considering attempting to escape. I knew that I could probably take out the first two guards guarding me, and maybe one of the SS guards. I knew, however, that after that the rest of the guards would shoot me. I considered using that as an excuse for suicide to avoid any horrible tortures they may have lined up for me, but decided against it. I can tough it out. I might even survive through it. I was still standing motionless, so the Nazi behind me gave me a brutal shove. I careened into the troop in front of me, who fell into the leading Nazi. I said sorry, but as I was, the troop in front turned around and started to say something to the troop I careened into-who was accepting my apology and passing it on. The leading troop waved his arms in the air, yelling at the other troop, who was trying desperately to get his sorry out. The leading Nazi watched in entertainment for a couple minutes before raising his Mauser rifle and knocking him out. The troop fell to the ground, and the two SS guards ran to him, picking him up under the armpits and by the ankles, and dragging him off to a truck. They radioed in their absence from their post, and drove off. I knew that this would be the best time to make a revolt, if ever. I decided that now-now was the time. It’s going to happen. I swung my fist around into the nearest Nazis nose. He fell backwards, his nose bleeding. I ran to the side, grabbed his MP40, and shot the next 3 guards. I got the other troop into the Heinkel, which was starting its engines-I don’t think it saw me-and climbed in, tossing the pilots out and shooting them. I had no clue how to drive the plane. I pushed the throttle forward as far as it would go. I felt the bomber speeding up and this odd drop feeling in my stomach. I pulled up slowly, and the dropping feeling sped up. I looked at the clouds. I looked at a dial. We were 1000 feet above the ground. I turned I looked, my eyes wide, for a button to release the bombs on the German base. I called the other troop up. “Man! The bomb button is somewhere in the back! It ain’t up here, man!” He said. I made a mental note to smack myself for not knowing that when we landed. I just turned. I thought I was going toward Poland. Poland, where German forces are stationed. Oh well, It’s better than circling around Berlin. Above a base that might contain Hitler. That has thousands of SS pouring out, trying to find us. I was just waiting for them to make the realization, and start shooting the plane out of the sky. Suddenly I turned the plane. I could hear the troop cursing. I brought back all the old memories of maps I had studied. Denmark was under Axis control. However, they would not shoot a German Heinkel HE 111 bomber down. I flew in the general direction. A radio transmission came in, “Seien Sie auf entführten Heinkel HE 111 vorsichtig. Wie man glaubt, ist Luftpirat äußerst gefährlich. Schießen Sie jeden Heinkel HE 111 Flugzeuge unten am ersten Zeichen der verdächtigen Aktivität.” I just understood the name of the plane-which caused me to push the throttle all the way up. I flew a little higher. I saw search lights turn on all around. I flew carefully around their ever-twisting path, careful not to be “enlightened.” The other troop with me was in one of the gun bubbles. I wondered, with a sickened knot in my stomach, where my JM was. We flew for many, many hours. By that time we were at Denmark, so far in I could see the ocean-and beyond that, I knew, was the UK. “Heinkel HE 111, indgå. Identificere dig selv. Hallo? Hallo? 1009, indgå. Selv om jer lave ikke identificere dig selv vi vil lukke op give ild. Genganger - selv om jer lave ikke identificere dig selv , vi vil lukke op give ild,” Said the radio at me. I started to panic. Denmark was trying to contact me, and I had no clue how to speak Danish. Or, for that matter, German. “Vi er omkring hen til lukke op give ild. Identificere dig selv nu , eller omkomme,” said the voice again. I wobbled the plane ever so slightly so I could see the ground-what I saw was a whole lot of AA guns turning to face my Heinkel. Chapter 4 I thought that I could possibly bomb them-but again; I didn’t know how to bomb. I could see the ocean. I tried to go as fast as possible. I was close to the ocean. I could get there. It was just a matter of a few hundred feet...as soon as I could get out there...I jolted the plane higher. I was over the ocean, finally. Shots flew past the plane, just barely reaching me. Soon, they missed me completely. I was home free-and on my way to the UK. Ocean whizzed by underneath. I stayed for hours, trying to figure out how to bomb. I watched for hours as the fuel needle dropped, and hours became days, and finally, finally, while tracing my map, I realized we should be over the UK. I looked down and shouted happily, for the familiar trees and pristine, freezing water sloshed upon the shore.
genetics question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? Hamlet and Ophelia are not our typical Danes, as they Iook more like Italians; that is with olive colored skin, black hair, and brown eyes. Unbeknownsed to Shakespeare, they had a child. His name was Gonzalo. Being the secretive child he was, he looked nothing like his parents: blond hair, blue eyes, and very fair skin. In those days he was thought of as an albino, but his parents didn't possess a single albino gene. Gonzalo was also a sickly child, due to an enzyme deficiency, he was severly retarded, had eczema, and a musty odor in his urine. The doctors of his time had no idea what was wrong with him or why it happened. Today much is known about this disease. In fact everyone is tested for it at birth. Being a skilled genetic researcher please find more information on this disease and explain the disease to us. 1.) Name the genetic disorder Gonzalo suffers from. 2.) What are the % chances of 2 normal parents (each of which had a parent with this disease) having a child with this disease?
My friend pointed out something about me not liking blackwomen? So me and my friend had a fight about me not liking blackwomen. All my life i never dated a blackwomen due to most of them saying i wasn't there type, like a 2-pac or 50 cent looking gangster guys and had babies with them and now the gangster guys are long gone and they are sitting there taking care of 2-5 kids by themselves being single mothers. Most in my neighborhood ran with the thugs because they were making that fast money if you know what i mean. I tried in the past to date a few but they said i was soft because i would open doors, call them to see of they were ok, bring them food when they didn't have any so i was consider soft in their book. Now when i pull up in my brand new ride they said oooh look at that N***** he think he to good for us now and these are the same girls that ran with the gangster guys and now that they are gone they expect me to show them some love now by finally dating them with their kids in the background, please!. So i started dating other races, i have to get love somewhere, Asians, Mexican, Italians White etc.. Now they are pissed that im doing this due to the fact that i am successful in life when they didnt wont crap to do with me in the past.So back to the story my friend saw this blackwomen, must of been 25 years old in the mall and said damn look at her, i just looked and said yeah shes cool but i didn't show any attraction toward her or any blackgirl we seen.. My current girlfriend is Italian..My friend called me a sell-out but i know he was just playing but it made me mad, i am just not attracted to them in anyway? Does this make me a sell-out! I think people should date whoever the hell they want, skin color or race shouldn't have nothing to do with it right??
What do I say to a guy/guys who are sexually harassing me? I am a videographer and recently just became a photographer too. I run this business with my husband who owns the company. Most of our work involves doing weddings and at weddings, I encounter different cultures: muslim weddings, italians, greeks, african american, latino, etc and all from different classes too (super rich people to blue collar to people who have payment methods with us because they cant afford it but want our services). I am a 22 yr old Filipino girl. I wear a black shirt with sleeves (no low cut tops) and black business pants and black shoes. I have no problem with african american except for the men because at weddings, I get harassed all the time. I guess they think Im hot and have a nice butt. I have a BIG problem with being harassed while Im working! They hit on me. THey dont say anything sexual but they say things like, "hey can I take a picture of me with you?" or "are you single?" and other come-ons like that. I AM WORKING. I do not like it but it seems like.. I don’t have a choice because the groom is right there! or the bride would be… and since this is their “special day” I feel like I have to buck up and bear it because I shouldn’t ruin their day. They don’t understand that their guy friends are making it difficult for me to work on top of the fact that it is very demeaning. I know it is sexual harassment but I don’t know what to do exactly about it. Im in the verge of walking out of a wedding and giving the bride and groom their money back because I CANT WORK like that! My husband worked with me to the last wedding I was at that was an African american wedding. He was doing the video and I was doing the photos. He told me that everytime he’d videotape one of the guys, he’d see them looking at my @ss! Normally, a husband will try to protect their wife from being disrespected but he couldn’t do anything about it because the bride and groom are his clients and they are paying us to be at their wedding.... I understand that point but what about my welfare? my respect? I cant call the cops or sue every groomsmen at every wedding I go to…?! what the f*ck do I do then?! ive thought about telling the bride and groom in advance about situations like this but dont u think that they might think im being racist? thats why i dont bring it up beforehand. i cant "UGLIFY" myself either because I need to look professional to other potential clients at the wedding. for all i know one of the bridesmaids might be getting married and is looking for a videographer and I want to be that person!

Are you what you eat? Diet Questions Answered from your 'nutrition expert' Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the lifeof your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good! ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!.... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft aroundthe middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is chocolate bad for me? A: Are you crazy? HELLOCocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around! ------------------------------------------------------------------ Q: Is swimming good for your figure? A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets. And remember: 'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways -Cabernet in one hand, chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO! What a Ride' AND...... For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies. 1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. CONCLUSION Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you .

Mr. Mikhail Makedonski interceded most in favor of my appointment, because I'm a Macedonian by birth and hold the services in the Slav language. Such was the Fate of my fatherland Macedonia, to suffer from the Greeks, so that they will not give us peace even today, although everyone knows that Macedonia is an older state then their kingdom. We had our own Slav educators, Cyril and Methodius, who left us our Slav alphabet. They were Macedonians born in Salonika, the glorious capital of Macedonia. Our Greek bishop does not admit this, so we do not want him to be our priest, but we want to have our own arch-priest, a Slav, for time everlasting. Amen. Pravo of 10/30/1870 (according to B. Koneski, Kon Makedonskata prerodba, p.68). February 1874 A letter from P.R. Slaveykov to the Bulgarian Exarch: Your Grace, I arrived in Salonika on the evening of the 14th of last month (January 1874). I immediately went to meet all the important local people and some others from the other Macedonian towns. My aim was to gather information as son as possible on what was to be necessary for the succes of the mission with which you had entrusted me. I first met Father Averkij Zografski, and the following day Father Petar Dimitrov as well, the local president of the community. I may inform you, Your Grace, that the wind from here, from Salonika, blows and scatters to all sides. These two clergyman, to my mind, are the leaders of the movement fot the restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid, although one should not neglect Ohrid and to certain extent Bitola, Veles and Skopje either. The Uniate movement here is not without roots, as they think in Constantinople, especially His Grace, Count Ignatiev. During the time I have been in Macedonia I have ascertained the same we had formerly known and written three years ago. Now, as then or twenty years ago, we are dealing with the Macedonian question. In talks with few Macedonian "patriots" I have understood that this movement, which had been only bare words till a few years ago, is now clear and precise thought - "The Macedonians are not Bulgarians" and they persistenly strive, regardless of the price, to obtain a separate church of their own. They also have the support in their separatism of smoe high clergyman in Constantinople, especially His Grace Nathaniel Ohridski, Panariot Plovdivski, and Archimandrite Hariton Karpuzov. I have understood this month from reliable sources that there are letters which arrive every day from Constantinople to the Salonika community, and are then sent to the other communities in the provinces. The letters are written in this spirit. One such letter, which the Salonika community sent to the community of Voden, calls upon the inhabitants of Voden to break off all their relations with theExarchate until the Macedonian Church question is settled, because "now is the moment". Mr. Kuzman Shapkarev from Ohrid, who is well known to us, has done a great deal to spread the idea of the restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid; he consatnly travels between Kukish and Ohrid and v.v., but at whose expanse, I do not know. Mr. Dimitar Makedonski, "the Macedonian textbook writer", is no less active, reciving salary as a teacher from the Exarchate and from local Lazarists. Owing to such unreasonable sermons by the Macedonian patriots that the church question has been settled only in favor of the Bulgarians, there is discontent among the people towrds the eparchies of th4 Danube and Adrianople vilayets as well as envy because of the earlier awakening of the Bulgarians. One can especially feel a great resistance against the East Bulgarian variant in literature. A general impression is that the local people think that the Macedonians have been done a great harm with the settlement of the church question in favor of the Danubian and Thracian Bulgarians. This discontent has already grown into distrust of the Exarchate and its higher echalons. and there is an attitude formed that the local Macedonian dialect should be declared a literary language and a Macedonian hiearchy established. Great attention, Your Grace, should be paid to His Grace Nathaniel, who promised the local people taht as soon as he comes to his eparchy he will take steps for the restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid. He seems to be connected with the Macedonian craftsman in Constantinople, among whom he spreads the news about the agreement with the Patriarchate. For their own part they inform their own people in Macedonia about this. It causes great discontent here. Consequently, separatism has its roots in the secret circle of Constantinople. If you press them there, the commotion wil calm down here. Silence the trumpet, there won't be any echo! The question of Father Nil is a highly delicate one, because he has barricaded himself in Kukush and does not want to return. His ambition seems to have made him to this. He stuffed his head with the thought of becoming the Archbishop of Ohrid ar at least Metropolitan of Salonika. As an Exarchate delegate he spreads the news about the agreement with the Patriarchate as the " most informed person". He decribes the Exarchate to the people as indifferent and passive in saving the Macedonian population from Greek spiritual slavery. Father Nil, who proved to be completely immature, seems to be a hireling of the highest Turkish vilayet authorities. However, his disobidiance to his headquarters began at the moment when he was summoned to return to Constantinople. Instead of obeying orders, he remained waiting there. His disobidiance also comes as a result of the suggestions that have been arriving from Constatinople. He maintains constant relations with Bishop Panaret and Nathaniel especially with the latter, who has suggested he stay in Macedonia until he gets an appointment for Ohrid and arrives in Macedonia. I think that Father Nil should be cast out of Macedonia at any cost and sent to Constatinople, because he is dangerous here. He already acts under the protection of the local Lazarists and the French consul. Thoughts of the restoration of the Archbishop of Ohrid at the moment are most prevalent here, in Salonika. Here the schemes are being devised and here the hotheads are gathering. These thoughts of course are not based upon mature foundation, especially since Midhat-Pasha has been dismissed from Salonika. But they are gradually spreading to northern Macedonia, although they are not very clear. Some say one thing to the people and others say another. There is danger, if steps are not taken from spme authoritative place, of creating a genral ideal. Then the consequences would be much more serious. The best thing would be if His Grace, Count Ignatiev, were to visit Macedonia, because the population feels a secret hope thet only Russia could help them. Tomorrow, with Gos's help, I intend to meet some of the elders from the local community. I shall try to convince them of the groundlessnes of their aspirations for a separarte Church when they already have one in the form of the Exarchate. Certainly the most difficult question will be that of the appointment of bishops of Macedonian origin and especially that of the cheirotonia of Father Hariton. I kiss Your Grace's right hand. Salonika, Fabruary 1874. Your obedient P.R. Slaveykov Another letter from P.R. Slaveykov: Your Grace, I sent you a letter via a trustworthy man two days ago, in which I briefly described to you the situation in Salonika and Macedonia in connection with the unreasonable movement for the restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid in union with the Roman Catholic Church. After the meeting with some of the local elders I have understood that there were everywhere wide discussions for a broader plan, namely, to create a Uniate Church in Macedonia. According to reliable sources, only the cheirotonia of Father Hariton is awaited before action will be taken. Until the blessing of the Pope for the proclamation of the Uniate Archbishopric of Ohrid arrives, the bishops with their eparchies will be constituent apart of the Uniate Church with their seat in Adrianople. Then Father Nathaniel will be appointed Archbishop of Ohrid and the following appointments will be made in the eparchies: Father Panaret for the Pelagonia eparchy, Brother Kozma Prechistenski for the Debar eparchy, Father Nil Izvorov for the Salonika eparchy and Father Dorotej for the Skopje eparchy. The other eparchies, for which there are no candidates proposed, will temporarily be governed by the neighboring archpriests. Father Nil will be Bishop of Salonika, Kukush and Voden. Father Hariton, after his ordination, will also become bishop of the Serez and Melnik eparchies. Father Dionisij, as an archimandrite, will temporarily govern the Strumica eparchy. I have personal impression, Your Grace, that nobody here is asking for a real union with the Roman Catholic Church. It is simply a means of restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid. Catholic circles also feel this and therefore have no great confidence in the people with whom they are negotiating. So I do not think it is too late to actin order to overcome the discontent, which later could be subdued. The Uniate movement is more dangerous in the places where formerly there was a Union because of similar reasons. Kukush comes in the first place, followed by Dojran with sympathy from Strumica, Maleshevo and Voden. The Salonika, Serez, Melnik and Drama villages lag behind them. There is not any powerful stirring of the Uniate propaganda indeed, but where there is smoke there must be fire. The appointment of Bishop Nil is expected for the fire to blaze forth. The Poljanin eparchy will immediately turn into a Union and the Strumica and Voden eparchies will join in, as well as a huge number of villages in Salonika, Drama, Serres and other eparchies. The other Macedonian eparchies will certainly be shattered, too, first the Veles eparchy and then the Skopje one. The Veles eparchy is also dissatisfied with its bishop, Damaskin, while at the same time the citizens of Veles, aroused by a craving for power, believe that they should govern Macedonia in religious matters. The causes of such a situation in the whole of Macedonia are very obvious. The Macedonian eparchies and towns I have already mentioned are extremely embittered by the serious position of the Church and the people in which they find themselves. The spreading of the idea of restoration of the Archbishopric of Ohrid upon an Uniate basis is also helped by the French and Austrian consuls, who promise full protection before the Turkish authorities and persecution of the Constantinople Patriarchate. The Greeks themselves indirectly help the spreading of the Union in Macedonia, expecting the Exarchate to become weak because of the Union and thus finding allies in the liquidation of the Catholic propaganda in Macedonia. I have concluded this from the talks I had with the Greek consul in Salonika. He was not in the least worried at the danger of the spread of the Union in Macedonia. On the contrary, Greece is seeking support for its economic and national activity in Macedonia. According to the opinion of the Greek consul, the part of the people who will not accept the Union, disillusioned with the Exarchate, will remain under the jurisdiction of the Patriarchate. In the talks I had it was not by chance that the agents and adherents of the Union mentioned that the "Macedonian question" could only be settled through the Union. In order to make full use of the discontent and bitterness of the people against the Exarchate, they strengthen their accusation against the Exarchate. They speak about the Macedonian question upon a religious basis, but at the same time stir up the old separatist trends among the Macedonians - to create a new ethnic region through the Union - in the spirit of Midhat-Pasha's schemes. As the Roman Catholic agents worked out a cultural and national program for the Union in 1860 for the liberation of the Bulgarian people from the Patriarchate, they now also appear with a specific program for the spiritual and national liberation of the Macedonian eparchies through the Union. The Macedonian activists already widely use the expression the Macedonian movement in their language of communication, by which one should understand independent national and church liberation. I must emphasize strongly, Your Excellency, that this is a factor of an important political character - separatism is being spread starting from a religious basis towards a broader national one. After the talks I had with Father Petar Dimov I felt that he has slowly retired from being drawn into the Union. Today he has officially renounced the Union and sent a letter to You expressing his loyalty to the Exarchate. I also talked to Father Averkij. He told me that he would also withdraw from the movement if appointments for the Exarchate bishops were issued by the autumn. My attitude towards these two Church dignitaries was moderate and friendly, because any repressive measures could stir up spirits. .... Your spiritual child P.R. Slaveykov S. In order to convince yourself of this, you must have Bulgarianism in view. Bulgarian propaganda has now been working for 20 years in Macedonia, in the blindest of times - when Hellenism, coming from and entirely alien nation, started to take root in the Macedonian heart; but the Macedonians, seeing a ray of Slavism, rejected everything as if eyeless, without paying attention to the difference. It was sufficient for them to have broken with Hellenism. But what is to be done now i.e. after twenty years of Bulgarian striving, indoctrination and unsparing pecuniary sacrifaces? My dear Despot, everybody does what is natural, but unexpected for the Bulgarians, that is, now every Macedonian admits he is not a Bulgarian and declares loudly his nation, even though he may stilluse Bulgarian means, not having his own, of course. ... Even the true sons of our country, those whoa re really not afraid to sacrifice their lives at the altar of our Fatherland, often wrongly think that the liberation of Macedonia could not be conceived without the interference of this or that state. They go over to the side of this or that people and forget their own people. Instead of uniting their forces in favor of their own people and striving in unison to liberate it from bondage, they cannot agree whom they should serve. Their slogan is: Macedonia to the Macedonians. A. Brutus, A Propos d'un Mouvement en Macedonie, Bruxelles 1900, pp.12-13, 15, 56. 1901 A.V. Amfiteatrov: The Land of Discord Each Slav should and is obliged to feel sympathy for Macedonian freedom. But Macedonian freedom cannot be achieved with their own, Macedonian means. The land is too small and weak to fight against the power of Constantinople, which only has to give a sign and tens of thousands of soldiers will attack the Rumalian vilayets and strangle them like mice before Europe could compose itself, even before Europe could know it. Hence, Macedonia cannot be freed with its own forces. Only an evil enemy, an unconscious enemy of Slavism could desire an armed movement in Macedonia now when the land is totally unprepared for an uprising, in circumstances of tied hands of the whole Europe, of Serbo-Bulgarian clashes, of huge preparations of the Turks against the slightest possibilities of movement. Or a real fool. These were the exact words of one of the high-ranking persons deciding the fate of Balkan Slavism in a discussion with me concerning the Macedonian committees. Nobody in Europe, none of the Great Powers can actively intercede in favor of the Macedonians against the Turks at the present moment - except, perhaps, Austria. Bu the very name of Austria causes panic in the Macedonian Slav element, who will allow Austria to reign in Macedonia? For it would be the destruction of all ideas of pan-Slavism, it would be the end of the Eastern Question, it would be the decisive and last victory of the German world over the Slav world. Then, we the Russians, would only be humbly left to falling out of step with that state with the projected historical tasks, with the repudiation of racial ideals - a state similar to modern Italy or Spain, only in greater proportions. The young Slav states, adjacent to Macedonia, are too young and too poor to go into struggle for it. At the same time, these states are disintegrating both from the internal situation and external family hostilities. The Bulgarians and the Serbians cannot stand each other; each consider Macedonia as their lawful property. Neither the Bulgarians nor the Serbs have even the slightest desire to create Macedonia for Macedonia. Enthusiast for an autonomous Macedonia can only be found among the Macedonian natives. Neither the Serb nor the Bulgarian wants the autonomy of Macedonia. As far as the question of whether Macedonia should become Bulgarian or Serbian is concerned, every Bulgarian would tell you with utter sincerity: -It would be better that the Turks ruled there eternally then to give the Serbs a chance to spread towards the Aegean Sea. And the Serb would say: - It would be better that the Turks did there whatever they allow your damned brothers to achieve their Greater Bulgaria from one sea to the other! The question of nationality has not been settled in Macedonia and it is hard to assume that it will ever be settled in a satisfactory manner. If we are to believe Gopcevic and Jasterbov there are almost no Bulgarians - all of the are Serbs. If we are to believe Ofejkov and Miljukov, there are no Serbs, all of them are Bulgarians. It is more probable that where we are dealing with a perfectly branch of Slavs, transitional between the Bulgarians and the Serbs. But that branch taken alone is insufficiently significant to win its freedom and turn itself into a state unit. Consequently, no matter how the question of its nationality is resolved, it is deprived of the possibility to exist, so to say; it is cursed in itself to serve as political material directly for its neighbors, and deviously and indirectly for Europe, which governs its naighbours. The basic reason for the failures of the Macedonian revolutionary organization lies in the fact that it is fed by means that have historically proved their ineffectiveness against state order of a European kind to overthrow the system and authority that have nothing in common with European order; since with the tactics, which have overthrown many European government, it attempts to erase military slavery, which has continued in Macedonia and Old Serbia for five centuries now; since the arms, victorious in the civil war, are also used in external war, because the Turk is not a fellow-citizen and compatriot of the Slavs, but he was, is and will be their external enemy... - They consider me a Bulgarophile, I.A. Zinovjev told me. But it isn't so at all. I behave in perfectly equal manner to all Slavs, and, if a person is decent and likable, it is all the same to me whether he is a Bulgarian, a Serb or a Macedonian. But I am a Russian representative and I have been sent here to protect, first of all, Russian interests. Permanent patronage over the Balkan Slavs is inseparably linked with Russian interests. We are their natural patrons. But this patronage does not mean Russia's following of Slav leaders; patronage is not characterless yielding. However, as far as the Macedonian question is concerned, the Bulgarians, as our most spoilt children in the whole of the Slav world, would like precisely to lead Russia with them where they have blindly started closing their eyes, demanding that the patronage be turned into yielding. The activities of the Macedonian committees, long under the patronage (with) our tolerance of the Bulgarian government, had the following direct calculation: - We shall force the Turks to abandon their reserved behavior they have taken up and borne with difficulty - wit a series of small explosions, murders and blackmails we shall arose the fanatic excitement of the Moslems, the Sultan will be forced to give in to the demands of his subjects of the same faith, and Turkish atrocities will start in Macedonia, blood will be shed, villages will be burnt. For the attainment of the sublime goal it is of no consequence whether fifty or fifty thousand people will be killed - the main thing is: slaughter must be caused, which will in turn cause the necessity of European intervention, and since the protection of the Slavs is the perennial deed of Russia and it will never leave the Macedonian question to Austria - consequently, volens-nolens, Russia shall have to send again hundred of thousands of soldiers to the Balkan Peninsula and achieve the freedom of Macedonia with its bayonets, i.e. it should put the land into the mouth of the Bulgarians. For they don't recognize any other nationality in Macedonia except the Bulgarian one. Consequently, the future freedom of Macedonia for them is either the fulfillment of the Treaty of San Stefano and unification of Macedonia with the Bulgarian Principality, or a creation of a new autonomous Bulgarian body, which will sooner or later be merged with the former into an 'integral Bulgaria'.... They were Thracian, Peons, Sclavins for us, a wild and almost a mythical people, that lived somewhere at the bottom of some unknown land for us. We either did not know them or despised them, since we heard of them from the malicious notes of the ancient and modern Greeks... La Revue de Paris, Juin 1903. 1904 A Macedonian Theory Was it so long before the liberation of the Bulgarians that throughout Bulgaria, in answer to the question as to what they were (by nationality), the Bulgarians said they were "Christians" or raya (non-Moslem Turkish subjects)? And even now it is not so rare on occasion to hear a Bulgarian answering in court as to the question of his nationality that he is a "Christian". The notion of nationality has still not become a new accomplishment of his mind. During the Turkish period, the Bulgarian peasant referred to the Bulgarians in the towns as "Greeks" and city lother were "Greek dress" for him. And since the Greeks designated that peasant as a "fat-headed Bulgar", his brother from the town loved to be called a "Hellene", so that he should not be scorned for his real national name. It is not exactly the same case with what Mr. Misirkov elaborates concerning the name of the Macedonian Slav? The name "Bulgar" fell even in Bulgaria to such position which earned only the contempt of the others. This name appeared so empty even in the mouth of the Bulgarians themselves that it became a synonym for "Christian"; the later designated the whole ethnic contents of Bulgarian individual and social consciousness. When our peasant used to say "we are Bulgars", he meant "we are Christians", i.e. Orthodox. The Russian Tsar was a "Bulgarian Tsar" for him not by nationality, but by Orthodox Christianity. A. Teodorov-Balan, Edna makedonska teorija - Periodichesko spisanie (Sofia), LXV (1904), p.818 1907-1908 The Macedonian Villages ...I asked him what language they spoke, and my Greek interpreter carelessly rendered the answer Bulgare. The man himself had said Makedonski. I drew attention to this word and the witness explained that he did not consider the rural dialect used in Macedonia the same as Bulgarian, and refused to call it by that name. It was Macedonian, a word to which he gave the Slav form of Makedonski, but which I was to hear farther north in the Greek form of Makedonike. And so the "Bulgarophone" villagers are no longer willing to admit that they speak Bulgarian. They have coined a new term of their own accord, and henceforth their dialect, until they have got rid of it, is to be known as "Macedonian". My Athenian friends were delighted when I told them of this on my return. It should give even greater pleasure to those Bulgarian agents who are so anxious to see the Macedonians thought they are Macedonians. Allen Upward, The East End of Europe, London 1908, pp. 204-205 June 25, 1910 Archimandrite Neophyte in Skopje to Bulgarian Exarch Joseph in Constantinople: Starting from some time ago, as I have already informed You several times, matters in the eparchy, and especially here have not developed as they should. The Eparchy Council, which, as You know, consists of the town's elders, has decided to send You a letter in which it strongly condemns the candidature of the former Metropolitan of Skopje, Theodosius, and among other things, upon my suggestion writes the following in the protest: "Outraged, we read in the newspapers that a group of villains wishes at any cost to urge the population - the voters of the Skopje Eparchy - to bring back that typical intransigent, Theodosious, as the Metropolitan of the Skopje Eparchy. This is the same Theodosius who 17 or 18 years ago wanted to separate the Skopje Eparchy from the Exarchate and proclaim himself an independent Metropolitan. For this purpose, he then made a special seal on which he deleted the words "Bulgarian Exarchate", so sacred to us, and printed his own baptismal certificates, marriage certificates and other documents; he did not fulfill the circular letters and the orders of the Exarchate, etc. Yet, since at that time there were not such a strong anti-Bulgarian movement among the local Bulgarians, it was possible for the Exarchate to remove this dangerous schismatic in time and thereby preserve the unity of the Bulgarian Church in Turkey. Now this same schismatic, contrary to Exarchist interests, wishes to restore his eparchy and continue his dishonest business of disuniting our Bulgarian people. We protest most strongly against his nomination as Metropolitan of Skopje, because he insults the Bulgarian feeling among the population". Unfortunately, Your Grace, if the Eparchy Council has such people with common sense, this is not the case with some craftsman's circles, which have come under the influence of Mr. Petar Pop Arsov, a teacher, who has taken the idea into his head that he is a leader of the people. He constantly speaks against the Exarchate and its leadership, including myself, and urges the craftsman to support Metropolitan Theodosios' candidature, since he once suffered for defending the interests of the Macedonians. It would not be superfluous if I informed You about another problem, which, I presume, will represent a kind of plot in this whole election propaganda. I have understood from some members of the Council that Krste Petkov, who at one time started "Misirkovism", had requested from certain relative of his, living here in Skopje, that he put him in touch with this teacher, Petar Pop Arsov, in connection with collecting songs about Krale Marko in the Skopje district, and Mr. Pop Arsov was so kind as to agree immediately. I am writing this to you, Your Grace, a justified suspicion that schismatic forces are being brought to life here. The said Mr. Krste Misirkov expressed in a letter to his relative has desire to return to Macedonia, more precisely, to come to Skopje as soon as Macedonia was liberated. The man wished to be a professor at the Skopje university (?!). If this is true, and there are no reasons for lying to me, then You may conclude Yourself what danger threatens the Bulgarian idea in these historic times. Just imagine if the "Misirkovism" of Mr. Krste, the "separatism' of His Grace Theodosius and the "autonomism" of Mr. Petar Pop Arsov joined together! I am of the opinion, Your Grace, upon the basis of the protest by the Eparchy Council (which was, after all, published in the press) that the candidature of His Grace Theodosius should be withdrawn, by which a danger of as yet unseen proportions for the Bulgarian cause in Macedonia would be evaded. I remain Your Grace's younger brother in Jesus Christ and I pray for You. S. Dimevski, Diskusija - K.P. D. Gruev again visited me last Saturday. D. Hristov also chanced to be in my house, so we spent more then 3 hours in discussion. The Macedonians have been afraid that the Bulgarians and we agreed to divide them, and accordingly they are the only ones left to frown at the Imperial Alliance. They suspect it hides something else. They continually make agreements and preparations but undertake nothing more serious. They constantly send smaller bands and ammunition into their country. All their activity is reduced to this only in present. They would like to make an agreement with us, but such as to sacrifice nothing of what they call their autonomy. They have come to see more and more that there are obstacles before them which they cannot fight successfully, and under the influence of which they continually lose their importance as an authoritative factor in the development of the Maced(onian) question. This is what hurts them immensely. They are divided among themselves, just as before. The differences of their views also intensify their personal hatred, which makes some of them avoid the others, plotting among themselves....Unfavorable rumors reach us from Macedonia, too. The people, craving for freedom, would like to reject their yoke and uncertainty as soon as possible, so that they would be ready for some decisive steps as well, but their distrust both of their leaders and Bulgaria prevent them. Under the influence of the news about the Imperial Alliance a mood has been created in which they would like to be freed from their yoke at any cost, even if they were compelled to come under Bulgaria and Serbia. And if these two did not help them, they would gladly accept Austrian occupation, as well... Arhiv SFR Jugoslavije (Belgrade) - Fond Jovan Jovanovic-Pizon, 80 (1905). 1906 To my brother in arms, Dushan, voyvoda from the village of Bistrica Brother, you should know that I have received your letter and understood all that you wrote me. We have put the people in great trouble, it is true, but who is to blame for this? You say we are to blame, we say you are to blame. As far as I know, ten years have passed (and) has never been over those years any bloodshed between ourselves or division into Serbomans or Bulgarophils. We have been Macedonian fighters and we will fight to the end for the Macedonian people, but we do not fight for Bulgaria or Serbia, nor Greece; they are free and live freely and drink in shaded inns; they have the right to drink so since they shed their blood earlier. We, who come from this Macedonian land should work for Macedonia, because our Macedonian brothers are murdered on the roads and our Macedonian sisters are disgraced by the bloody Turk, by the fat Turk. We are not against any nationality of either Bulgaria, Serbia, or Greece; we should recognize the merit of those who would help us. If there had been any Serbian, Bulgarian or Greek land here, they should not have waited for us to die in the mountains but should have liberated Macedonia with their armies; only then they could have demanded Serbia, Bulgarian or Greek land here... Blazhe Krusheski DA SSID - Fond Izvrshnog odbora Srpske narodne organizacije F-6 (1906) 1912 A.V. Amfiteatrov: Macedonia ...Following the Russian war, Turkey of the old regime finally turned into a "sick man", and the heirs of the executors of the expected will gathered around his death-bed. The future destiny of Macedonia came to depend not as much on the will of Turkey itself as on the sympathies of the European guardians. In the 19th century Europe learned through Germany, Italy and Greece to consider the right to national self-determination a little. Thus, all the states and countries bordering on Macedonia have started intensive propaganda in favor of their nationalities, as it were a race or along jump for an award. They have taken care, as much as they have means and power, to persuade Europe by truth and lies, that allegedly the national self-determination of the Macedonian inclines in their favor, and not in favor of the neighboring nation. In this respect the Bulgarians proved more swift the their rivals. In order to make Macedonia Bulgarian, they had to Bulgarize the Macedonians. Thus, following the Bulgaro-Serbian War of 1885, the greatest powers and considerable sacrifices of the Bulgarian state apparatus were given to the Bulgarization of the Macedonian Slavs. Bulgarian agents were the priests and the teachers; the
What do you think of theses pearls of wisdom? Just received in an e mail, Had a good chuckle My favourite is one about the court house Subject: Eating & drinking After an exhaustive review of the research literature, here's the final word on nutrition and health: 1. Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 2. Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 3. Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 4. Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. 5. Germans drink beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than us. CONCLUSION: Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you, but the Government is trying to correct the problem. C O W S Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow. T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq . Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore. T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery," and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It would create a hostile work environment
Racism and politics? I'm so sick and tired of black people making this an issue. I'm tired of the victi-crat attitude and pulling the race card every chance they get. If racism exists in the United States it's because they don't let it go. Yes, it's wrong to demoralize any race or culture. However, it is my experience that black people are not singled out by any means. Racism now, is equal opportunity ...for instance there are racist things constantly said about white people (hicks, hillybilly's, southerners are dumb, marrying family members etc) same goes for Jews, Asians, Italians, Irish, Mexicans/latinos, on and on. Black people also like to relish in their past as if it just happened. Lots of different races went through tough times in this country as well. And women were the last to be given the right to vote which would mean the "white man" valued the "black man" long before the "white woman". So Obama is black and if it's brought up, it's just a fact not a racist remark. Stating that "black people are more attractive" is in itself a racist remark. so thanks for keeping racism alive and well!! Wouldn't I completely be labeled as racist if I said white people are better looking??
