What are the best mid-priced running shoes for women?

I used to swear by Nike, but maybe something is better now? Skechers? Reebok? Other?

2. Go out to your local running store and try some shoes out. Generally, the cheaper a running shoe is, the "less shoe" you're going to get. For Example, Racing flats are generally around $60, regular models are around $75-90, and motion-control and cushioneded shoes are $90-120. As you go up that ladder, you are getting more cushion, motion-control and general 'technology.' Trying to buy cheap shoes to run in will only cause you to buy improper ones for your needs and you'll end up hurting yourself, or running in uncomfortable shoes. The better way to go about buying running shoes is to go to a running store, and talk with the clerk (they're generally very very knowledgeable) about what you need out of your shoe, and they will pick the correct one for you. It's worth the investment to shell out an extra $20 to keep your legs healthy. I hope this helps, good luck finding the right shoes.
